Shadow Keep, Church District

The Church District is a part of the Shadow Keep that the keep’s people deliberately flooded to cut off the way to the Scadutree. Expect half-drowned chapels, boats and pews, and courtyards held by Messmer’s army.

Fire Knights patrol the area, burning corpses shamble around, Man-Bats lurk, and two Shadow Tree Spirits hide out, one in the courtyard with the tree and one outside the Sunken Chapel. Once the water is drained you can reach the cathedral, where the elder Fire Knight Wego waits as an unmarked foe who does not come back once beaten.

If you dealt with Fire Knight Queelign in both of his invasions, you can find him here as a friendly figure, pleading before Marika in a chapel’s prayer room, which opens with the Prayer Room Key.
