Item description & lore
Deathroot gives rise to Those Who Live in Death. On the Night of the Black Knives, the stolen Rune of Death allowed a demigod to die for the first time. The rune then spread through the underground roots of the Greattree and sprouted across the Lands Between as Deathroot.
