Seedbed Curse
A cursed growth taken from a body defiled by the Dung Eater. These are the key to his questline: hand them over and he will eventually give up the Mending Rune of the Fell Curse, which leads to the Blessing of Despair ending after the Elden Beast.

Where to find it
There are several in the world. The input lists these spots:
- Capital Outskirts (Outer Wall Battleground): dropped by Blackguard Big Boggart after you free the Dung Eater from the Subterranean Shunning-Grounds and exhaust Boggart’s dialogue.
- Leyndell, Royal Capital (East Capital Rampart): past the first lift, on a corpse on the top floor of the building with the cracked ceiling.
- Leyndell, Royal Capital (West Capital Rampart): inside the room of the Fortified Manor where the Dung Eater sits in the Roundtable Hold.
- Volcano Manor: up the stairs in the room before the Sending Gate to the Audience Pathway Site of Grace, behind a Stonesword Key fog.
- Miquella’s Haligtree (Prayer Room): one on a balcony on the western wall overlooking the courtyard with ballistas, and another in a dark room below.
Item description & lore
The Omenkillers serving Messmer in the Realm of Shadow suggest the Omen and the Seedbed Curse are older than Queen Marika’s war on the Hornsent.
Notes & tips
- Having at least one Seedbed Curse when you talk to the Dung Eater at the Roundtable Hold gets you the Sewer-Gaol Key.
- After beating his invasion in Leyndell’s outer moat, go back to his cell and use five Seedbed Curses on his body to get the Mending Rune of the Fell Curse.
