Moonlight Altar

The Moonlight Altar is a high plateau in the south of Liurnia of the Lakes, and for most of the game you cannot get there at all. It is bathed in the cold blue light of a dark moon, full of crystal, wolves and spirits, and it feels like a secret corner of the world that was never meant for visitors.

You reach it by following Ranni the Witch‘s questline deep underground. Up here you find the Cathedral of Manus Celes, Chelona’s Rise with Ranni’s Dark Moon, and two of the region’s most dangerous fights: Glintstone Dragon Adula and Alecto, Black Knife Ringleader, in the Ringleader’s Evergaol.
