Honed Bolt

Honed Bolt calls a single bolt of lightning down onto your target. It can be cast repeatedly, and follow-up casts come out faster than the first.

It needs a fair amount of Faith and is a cheap, reliable lightning attack for Faith builds.

Where to find it

Sold for 7,000 runes by Brother Corhyn or Miriel, Pastor of Vows once you give either of them the Dragon Cult Prayerbook. If that teacher dies before you buy it, the Twin Maiden Husks sell it after you give them the teacher’s Bell Bearing. If both die before you hand over the prayerbook, it is lost for that playthrough.

An incantation of the capital’s ancient dragon cult, which began when Godwyn the Golden defeated the ancient dragon Fortissax and then befriended him.

Notes & tips

  • Damage is boosted by each Gravel Stone Seal held in an active hand (up to two).
  • Wearing pieces of the Death Knight armour adds a small boost per piece.
  • Striking water or an enemy standing in water creates a small extra burst that can hit nearby foes.
