Magic Fortification

Magic Fortification is a quick buff that cuts the magic damage you take for a while: 35% for 90 seconds, though only 10% in PvP.

With a requirement of just 10 Faith it fits almost any build that can hold a seal, and it is worth slotting before fights against sorcerers or magic-heavy bosses. You can cast it while moving.

Where to find it

Sold for 3,500 Runes by Brother Corhyn (first in the Roundtable Hold, later the Altus Plateau, Leyndell, Royal Capital and the Mountaintops of the Giants). If he dies first, give Corhyn’s Bell Bearing to the Twin Maiden Husks to buy it from them.

Notes & tips

  • It reduces damage taken as a separate multiplier rather than adding to your negation stat, so it stacks well with gear.
  • Counts as a body buff, so it will replace other body buffs.
