Endurance

Endurance in Elden Ring raises Stamina, Equip Load and Robustness. Soft caps, breakpoint tables and which starting classes have the most.

Endurance raises your Stamina and your maximum Equip Load, and from 31 onwards it adds Robustness against Hemorrhage and Frostbite. Stamina soft caps are at 15, 30 and 50; Equip Load soft caps at 25 and 60.

What Endurance does

Stamina is what lets you swing, block, roll and cast without running dry, and Equip Load decides how heavy your armor and weapons can be before your roll slows down. Endurance covers both, which is why melee players in heavy armor tend to put more points here than anyone else. You raise it the usual way: spend Runes at a Site of Grace once Melina has given you the ability to level up.

Soft caps and breakpoints

Stamina rises by 1 or 2 per point up to 30, slows to about 1 per point until 50, and then barely moves. Equip Load grows by about 1.6 per point up to 25, drops to 1.0–1.4 between 26 and 38, recovers to around 1.5 until 60, then settles at about 1.0 per point.

Which builds want Endurance

Melee builds that trade a lot of blows, block with shields or wear heavy armor get the most out of it. Casters and light, nimble builds can usually get by with less, as long as they keep their load under the point where their roll gets slow.

Starting classes with the most Endurance

Starting class Endurance
Samurai 13
Hero 12
Vagabond 11
Warrior 11
Prisoner 11

The Prophet starts lowest with 8, which also gives it the lowest starting Equip Load.
