Elden Beast
The Elden Beast is the final boss of Elden Ring, and it appears the moment Radagon of the Golden Order falls. It is the vassal of the Greater Will, a golden, star-like beast that was forged into the Elden Ring itself.
The fight takes place on a wide, starry plain of water. The Beast is huge, it swims away through the air, and it fires holy spells from every direction. It can be frustrating, but it is also the end of a very long journey, and beating it lets you choose how the story ends.

How to beat it
The Beast moves a lot and often swims away to cast from range. Chasing it is part of the fight, so keep your stamina up and run rather than roll when it moves away. Its golden sword combos have big, readable swings that leave openings.
The spell to watch out for most is Elden Stars, a long stream of homing golden stars. Keep running sideways when it starts. Its golden ring explosion and the holy wave it sweeps across the ground are best dodged by rolling through them at the last moment.
Holy resistance gear helps here too, and long-range attacks are useful while it is swimming around.
Lore
The Elden Beast arrived in the Lands Between on a golden star sent by the Greater Will, long before anyone else. It was later forged into the Elden Ring, the source of the Golden Order.
Notes & tips
- After the fight, you can mend the Elden Ring. Which ending you get depends on the choices and questlines you followed along the way.
