Rellana, Twin Moon Knight

Rellana, Twin Moon Knight is the lady of Castle Ensis in the Gravesite Plain. She is the younger sister of Rennala, Queen of the Full Moon, a Carian princess who gave up her birthright to join Messmer’s crusade. Count Ymir taught her sorcery when she was young.

She fights with two light greatswords and two kinds of power: the blue glintstone of the Carian moon and the fire of Messmer. Many players meet her as the first big wall of the expansion.

This boss is part of the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion. To reach the Land of Shadow, you first need to defeat Starscourge Radahn and Mohg, Lord of Blood, then touch the withered arm in Mohgwyn Palace.

How to beat it

Phase 1. Rellana opens many combos with a sideways jump into a spin slash and a quick stab. Her strings are long and fast, so dodge through them instead of backing away, and punish only after the final thrust. She also throws moonlight and fire spells from range, so stay close.

Phase 2. She summons twin moons and her spells get much bigger. Keep moving sideways and wait for her to finish casting before you go in.

Help. Needle Knight Leda can be summoned, but her sign disappears once you have entered Shadow Keep for the first time.

Lore

When Rellana chose Messmer, her sister accepted her abdication and gave her a lock of her own black hair. The theme music of her fight echoes Rennala’s.
