Commander Gaius

Commander Gaius led Messmer’s soldiers during the crusade. He was a gifted warrior and strategist, he studied gravity magic alongside Starscourge Radahn, and he was never seen without his giant boar. Like Messmer, he was cursed from birth, and the two were like older brothers to the young Radahn.

Even after Marika left Messmer in the shadow, Gaius stayed. You find him guarding the back door of the Shadow Keep, at Scaduview.

This boss is part of the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion. To reach the Land of Shadow, you first need to defeat Starscourge Radahn and Mohg, Lord of Blood, then touch the withered arm in Mohgwyn Palace.
