Fingercreeper

Fingercreepers are huge, bodiless hands that scuttle around on their fingers. They like to hide, clinging high on walls or buried in the ground, and jump out at anyone passing by. Some wear large golden rings, which you can see bulging under the skin of their fingers.

They show up near places where terrible things happened: Caria Manor, the Divine Tower of Liurnia, Mt. Gelmir, Leyndell, Royal Capital, the Subterranean Shunning-Grounds and the Mountaintops of the Giants. In the Realm of Shadow they appear in Scadu Altus and on the Cerulean Coast.

How to beat it

Move carefully in areas where they live, and look up at the walls before walking under them. Fire stuns them, so fire pots, fire weapons or fire spells make the fight much easier. Sleep does nothing.

Lore

Fingercreepers are the corrupted children of Metyr, Mother of Fingers, born from an ancient blasphemy against the Greater Will. Finger-weavers such as Count Ymir take Fingerprint Nostrums to turn their own bodies into nurseries for her children. Ymir sometimes holds a unique baby Fingercreeper on his throne at the Cathedral of Manus Metyr, perhaps in an attempt to bring back Yuri, and he spawns small Fingercreepers during his fight.
