An Elden Ring wiki

Guilty

The Guilty are blind women in red robes who cast thorn sorcery, which grows sharp briars out of the ground. They fight with staves made from smouldering saplings and serve under the Fire Monks.

You find them in Liurnia of the Lakes, at Fort Laiedd on Mt. Gelmir and at the Guardians’ Garrison in the Mountaintops of the Giants.

How to beat it

The Guilty are fragile, so the plan is simple: rush them down. Their thorns come up from the ground and do a lot of damage if you stand still, so keep moving as you close in. When they stand behind Fire Monks, try to reach them first.

Lore

These women were accused of a terrible crime at the dawn of the Erdtree era, and the Briars of Sin crushed their eyes. Clad in the red of exiled criminals, they gave up prayer when it brought them only despair. In the dark they found the blood star and took up heretical thorn sorcery, turning sacrificial blood into red glintstone, a practice the Academy of Raya Lucaria despised. Their blindness is what allowed them to see the blood star at all.
