Mohgwyn Dynasty Mausoleum

The Mohgwyn Dynasty Mausoleum is a huge, ancient temple carved into the rock on the west side of Mohgwyn Palace. It is the stronghold of Mohg, Lord of Blood and his followers, and the place where he means to found his new dynasty.

On the way up you deal with Second-Generation Albinaurics, Putrid Corpses and Sanguine Nobles. An Imprisoned Merchant is kept here too, and White Mask Varré can be faced as a boss. Needle Knight Leda also turns up at the mausoleum.

At the very top is an open courtyard holding the cocoon of Miquella. Mohg guards it fiercely and attacks as soon as you come close. Beat him and the Cocoon of the Empyrean Site of Grace appears at the far end of the arena.

How to get there

  1. The long way: take the Sending Gate on the western edge of the Consecrated Snowfield (it stays inactive until a nearby Sanguine Noble invader is beaten) and work your way through the rest of Mohgwyn Palace.
  2. The shortcut: use the Pureblood Knight’s Medal from White Mask Varré, which drops you right at the mausoleum entrance.

Lore

Mohg has brought the cocoon of Miquella here and guards it as the heart of the blood-soaked dynasty he hopes to build. The Dynasty Mausoleum Entrance grace sits at the northern entrance, and the Midpoint grace waits once you come out the far side of the dark interior.
