Yura’s Questline
Bloody Finger Hunter Yura is a quiet ronin in an iron kasa who has made it his life’s work to hunt the Bloody Fingers, the invaders who serve Mohg. He keeps turning up just when you need a hand, and in return he only asks that you help him now and then.
His trail runs from Limgrave through Liurnia to the Altus Plateau, where his long hunt for Eleonora, Violet Bloody Finger finally catches up with him. It is short and easy to miss, but it ends with a fine katana and Eleonora’s own poleblade.
Walkthrough
- Meet Yura near Agheel Lake (optional). In Limgrave, Yura rests under a fallen Azula ruin close to the Seaside Ruins Site of Grace, southwest of Agheel Lake. Talk to him until he runs out of words. His summon sign then appears at Agheel Lake for the fight against Flying Dragon Agheel. Speak to him again after the dragon is dead and he tells you about the Church of Dragon Communion, along with a warning about what Dragon Communion does to people. This step and the next can be done in either order.
- Get rescued in the Murkwater ravine (optional). Head into the ravine north of Agheel Lake toward Murkwater Cave. Bloody Finger Nerijus invades you, and after a while Yura jumps in to help. Once Nerijus is dead, follow the ravine to find Yura under a bridge and talk to him until he has nothing more to say.
- Return the favour in Liurnia. In Liurnia of the Lakes, look for a red summon sign northeast of the Raya Lucaria Main Gate Site of Grace. Use it to help Yura against the Bloody Finger Ravenmount Assassin. Afterwards Yura is waiting on the nearby bridge. Talk to him for a Smithing Stone [5], and he warns you about Eleonora.
- Find him at the Second Church of Marika. On the Altus Plateau, travel to the Second Church of Marika, northwest of the Altus Highway Junction Site of Grace. Yura lies on the ground, badly wounded. Talk to him, then pick up his Nagakiba.
- Defeat Eleonora. Shortly afterwards Eleonora, Violet Bloody Finger invades. Beat her for Eleonora’s Poleblade and the Purifying Crystal Tear.
Missable steps & failure conditions
- The Mountaintops lock. As soon as you travel to the Mountaintops of the Giants, Yura’s questline locks, no matter how far you got. Do the Liurnia and Altus Plateau steps before you head up there.
- The Nagakiba is not lost. If the quest locks early, the Nagakiba lies on the ground wherever Yura would have been at that point in his story.
- Killing Yura ends the questline. He drops the Nagakiba.
Endings & consequences
- Yura dies. His hunt ends at the Second Church of Marika, where he dies after his final fight with Eleonora. You arrive too late to save him.
- Shabriri. After his death, Yura’s body is taken over by Shabriri, who waits near the Zamor Ruins Site of Grace in the Mountaintops of the Giants. This happens once you reach the Mountaintops, whether or not you finished Yura’s story.
