Black Flame Blade

Black Flame Blade coats your right-hand weapon in black fire for a short time, adding fire damage plus the black flame’s lingering HP drain. It can be cast quickly after another action.

Where to find it

Give the Godskin Prayerbook to Brother Corhyn or Miriel, Pastor of Vows, then buy it for 6,000 Runes. If that tutor dies, buy it from the Twin Maiden Husks with their Bell Bearing. If both die before you hand over the book, it is lost until your next journey.

Item description & lore

A black flame incantation of the Godskin Apostles, whose heavy fire keeps draining a foe after the hit.

Notes & tips

  • It only lasts 7 seconds; the Old Lord’s Talisman stretches that a little.
  • The Godslayer’s Seal does not boost it, like other weapon buffs.
  • The black flame effect also applies to the buffed weapon’s skills.
