Borealis’s Mist

Borealis’s Mist lifts you into the air and turns you briefly into a dragon that breathes a wave of freezing fog down onto the ground below. It deals magic damage and builds up frostbite, and keeping the cast going lets out a second breath.

It is a Dragon Communion incantation with Faith and Arcane requirements, and it also costs a hefty chunk of stamina on top of the FP.

Trade 2 Dragon Hearts at the Cathedral of Dragon Communion in Caelid after defeating Borealis the Freezing Fog in the Mountaintops of the Giants. It can also be bought at the Grand Altar of Dragon Communion on the Jagged Peak.

Item description & lore

The ice dragons once ruled the mountain peaks, until the Fire Giants defeated them and drove them from the summit.

Notes & tips

Costs 60 stamina to cast and another 60 for the follow-up breath.
Damage is boosted by the Roar Medallion, by each Dragon Communion Seal held in an active hand (up to two), and by the Rock Heart.
Can be cast in midair, but not while mounted, unlike Dragonice.
The most expensive of the three frostbite dragon breaths, alongside Dragonice and Ghostflame Breath.
