Castle Ensis

Castle Ensis sits in the northeast of the Gravesite Plain and acts as the gateway to the Scadu Altus behind it. Messmer’s army camps in front of its walls, and inside you will run into Messmer soldiers, Carian knights and a Troll or two.

The lady of the castle is Rellana, Twin Moon Knight, who waits at the top. Tucked away elsewhere inside is Moonrithyll, Carian Knight, an unmarked and entirely optional fight. Once the castle falls, the road opens toward the Scadu Altus and the hidden belfry behind it.

How to get there

Head to the northeastern part of the Gravesite Plain. The Castle Front grace sits in the army camp right before the walls. Past the castle lies the Scadu Altus.

Lore

Rellana took Castle Ensis for Messmer, and her moon sorcery is said to have shattered a key stone at the Moorth Ruins, sending much of that hornsent settlement sliding into the earth. After that she became known as the Sword of Messmer.
