Starscourge Radahn
Starscourge Radahn was once the strongest of the demigods, the general who held back the stars themselves with gravity magic. Now he wanders the Wailing Dunes of Caelid, his mind eaten by the scarlet rot Malenia left in him, feeding on the bodies of fallen soldiers.
The fight is the centre of the Radahn Festival, a gathering of champions who have come to give him a warrior’s death. It is a huge, cinematic battle. You ride Torrent across the dunes while Radahn rains arrows down on you, and you can summon a whole army of allies you have met on your journey.

How to beat it
The approach. You spawn far away from Radahn, and he immediately fires volleys of arrows at you. Ride Torrent and zigzag toward the summon signs scattered across the beach. Summon as many helpers as you can, such as Blaidd, Alexander, Iron Fist and others, and let them pull his attention. Only then go in.
Phase 1. Radahn swings two huge greatswords and uses gravity magic to pull you in or push you away. When he targets a summon, attack from behind and get out before he turns. You can resummon fallen allies from their signs, so keep going back for them.
Phase 2. Below about half health, Radahn leaps into the sky and comes crashing down as a meteor. As soon as you see him fly up, ride hard to the side, as far as you can. After that, he gets floating rocks and new spinning attacks, but the same plan works: let your allies hold him, punish his recovery, and keep moving.
Lore
Radahn is the son of Rennala and Radagon, and brother of Rykard and Ranni. As a young man he learned gravity magic in Sellia so that he could ride his small horse, Leonard, out of love for the horse, and to stop the stars in their tracks. His war with Malenia at the Battle of Aeonia left both of them broken.
His story does not end in Caelid. In Shadow of the Erdtree he returns as Promised Consort Radahn, the final boss of the expansion.
Notes & tips
- When he falls, the stars move again and a meteor crashes into Limgrave, opening the way to Nokron, Eternal City.
- His remembrance can be traded for Starscourge Greatswords or Lion Greatbow.
