Age of Order

How to unlock the Age of Order ending: finish Corhyn and Goldmask's questline, loot the Mending Rune of Perfect Order and use it at Marika's statue.

Age of Order is the ending where you mend the Elden Ring with Goldmask’s Mending Rune of Perfect Order. To unlock it you have to complete Corhyn and Goldmask’s questline, then pick that rune at Marika’s statue after the final boss.

What the ending is

This is the legacy of Goldmask, a scholar who studied how the Golden Order fell into its current state. His conclusion was that the gods and demigods themselves were the problem: their fickleness made them no better than people. The Age of Order removes them from the picture and tries to build a perfected, transcendent order in their place. You still become Elden Lord.

Requirements

You need the Mending Rune of Perfect Order, and the only way to get it is to follow Goldmask’s story through with Brother Corhyn. In short:

The full questline walkthrough covers every conversation in order.

How to trigger it

Beat the Elden Beast and you arrive in a room with Marika’s statue and a Site of Grace. Interact with the statue and pick the Mending Rune of Perfect Order from the list of mending runes. That starts the Age of Order. If you are not ready yet, the grace lets you travel elsewhere and come back later; nothing is decided until you touch the statue.

How to avoid locking it out

The rune only exists once the questline has reached its end, so make sure you have actually picked it up from Goldmask’s body in the Ashen Capital before you go into the final fights.

The Frenzied Flame can take this ending away. If you accept it from the Three Fingers in the Frenzied Flame Proscription, every ending except Lord of Frenzied Flame is locked. You can undo that by using Miquella’s Needle when it prompts you at the Dragonlord Placidusax arena, which reopens the other endings and permanently closes the Frenzied Flame one.

What it means

The Age of Order is Goldmask’s answer to why the Golden Order failed: an order meant to bring true order to all because it no longer rests on the whims of gods. Whether that sounds like stability or something colder is up to you.
