Lord of Blood’s Favor

A pure white cloth handed to you by White Mask Varré as part of his questline. On its own it does nothing; it has to be soaked in a Finger Maiden’s blood, which turns it into the Lord of Blood’s Favor (Soaked). The cloth is consumed when you use it.

It matters because this is the item that opens the early route to Mohgwyn Palace.

Where to find it

Speak with White Mask Varré at the Rose Church in Liurnia of the Lakes, then meet one of his two conditions: either invade and defeat Magnus the Beast Claw three times at the Writheblood Ruins on the Altus Plateau, or use a Festering Bloody Finger to successfully invade real players three times (online only). Return to Varré and he gives you the cloth.

Those who want to become Pureblood Knights are expected to turn their backs on the Two Fingers and stain this cloth with the blood of their own maiden.

Notes & tips

  • The Chapel of Anticipation option avoids killing any NPC, so it is the gentlest route if you care about other questlines.
  • The cloth disappears from your inventory once used.
