Leyndell, Royal Capital
Leyndell is the Royal Capital of the Lands Between, a vast golden city built right at the roots of the Erdtree. The streets are covered in fallen golden leaves and enormous roots, and everything about the place is meant to make you feel small. It is the biggest legacy dungeon in the game, and one of the most beautiful.
The city’s lord is Morgott, the Omen King, a demigod who guards the Erdtree against every Tarnished who comes for it. You will find him at the end of the city, in one of the most memorable fights in the game. A golden shade of Godfrey, the first Elden Lord, also waits in the capital, and under the city lies a whole hidden world of sewers and secrets.

How to get there
You need two Great Runes to pass the gate into the capital. Ride through the Capital Outskirts to the Capital Rampart, where a Draconic Tree Sentinel guards the way, and continue to the city gate.
Lore
Morgott is an Omen, born with horns and hidden away under the capital by the very family he now protects. He still calls himself its guardian. The Subterranean Shunning-Grounds below the city are where the Omens were sent.
